The second round of the 2026 U.S. Open begins Friday morning at Shinnecock Hills in New York. Here’s everything you need to know to watch the tournament on Friday, including full U.S. Open TV coverage, streaming details and complete Round 2 tee times.
The game’s best players and golf fans alike are in for a long day on Friday at Shinnecock Hills. The first round of this U.S. Open was hampered by an early fog delay. Those lost two hours resulted in several players failing to complete their rounds before darkness fell Thursday night.
The first order of business on Friday is the resumption of Round 1, which will occur at 6:35 a.m. ET, weather permitting. The second round will get underway at 6:50 a.m. ET, 15 minutes later than originally scheduled.
When play begins on Friday, Wyndham Clark will be in the lead. The 2023 U.S. Open champion was the only player to go really low on Thursday, reaching six under before play was called. He needs to finish two more holes to complete Round 1 and potentially extend his four-shot lead.
Rory McIlroy was among the players who did finish Round 1 on Thursday. He shot a one-under 69 and will start Round 2 on Friday at 2:02 p.m. ET.
You can watch the second round of the U.S. Open on TV via NBC and NBCSN, with NBCSN opening the coverage at 6:30 a.m. ET on Friday. The Round 2 TV coverage will switch to NBC at 1:30 p.m. ET, with a live simulcast of both telecasts available on Peacock. Peacock, USOpen.com and the USGA app will provide featured group coverage starting Friday morning at 7:29 a.m. ET.
