Ryan Moore explains 1 of the ultimate golf experiences

Few golf experiences rival Shadow Creek in Las Vegas, and if anyone really knows what it’s like, it might be Ryan Moore.

The former amateur star and five-time PGA Tour winner joined this week’s episode of GOLF’s Subpar podcast to discuss what he’s been up to since putting the clubs away, his amateur career, and even a tee time with Arnold Palmer, but Shadow Creek, of course, came up as well.

Moore knows the place well. He starred at UNLV and has been a long-time Las Vegas resident. He also was a brand ambassador for MGM Resorts International, which owns the course.

“Even if I played it three times in a week, every time I drive in the gate I’m like, how does this place even exist,” Moore said. “It’s just incredible. It’s just a special place.”

Moore said he was recently at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort, where he was discussing some of the best golf experiences with friends. It made him think of just how special Shadow Creek is since he believes it belongs in that top tier.

“Shadow Creek is top five on the planet,” he said. “And I’ve been to a lot of pretty cool places, a lot of good golf courses, but it’s just such a unique golf experience, it is so unique to anywhere else. Besides being a great golf course and in great shape, every hole is like a little planet that you are on.

“There’s just something about it. It’s an incredible place. Even though I get to play it a lot, I still kinda pinch myself every time I get to go out there and play.”

The luxe Tom Fazio design offers a stunning golf course, plus unmatched VIP service (including a private limo shuttling you to and from the course).

And the good news for you, dear reader? You can play it too. Although it’s going to cost you over $1,000. But hey, when in Vegas?
