Aston Villa have been keeping eye on the high demand winger in Bundesliga following his consistently fine form.
Aston Villa do not seem to stop hunting their next transfer target. They are still monitoring the situation for the players they could snatch in the future. Villa have just signed 10 new players last summer, including two pacey wingers, Ibrahim Mbaye and Alejandro Garnacho. They already have the youngsters who shine this season, George Hemmings and Alysson Edward. Nevertheless, this high demand top winger in Bundesliga is too appealing to ignore.
According to the report in fussballnews, Villa are only one of the English clubs keen on RB Leipzig’s Antonio Nusa.
“Besides Arsenal and Tottenham, Newcastle United and Aston Villa are also monitoring the winger’s development.”
Nusa has been part of RB Leipzig’s squad since summer 2024. He joined the Bundesliga side from Club Brugge with the transfer fee around £ 17.8 million. His contract expires in summer 2029, which gives his team a strong position in the negotiation. Nusa himself does not push for a move as well.
However, such does not prevent teams around Europe to join the race. At the moment, Arsenal seem to be the one with the stronger interest and reportedly prepare the first offer for the winger who could play in both flanks.
The 21-year old winger has gained interest from a number of clubs outside Premier League too. Several Italian sides have been lining up to make inquiries on him. AS Roma is the first to do so. AC Milan, Juventus, Napoli and Inter Milan are also keeping tabs on the winger who excels in acceleration and pace to penetrate the final third, including in one-on-one situations. It is the quality which Unai Emery is keen on adding in his squad.
Meanwhile, there are potential suitors from the elite sides outside Italy and England. The likes of Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and last but not least, Bayern Munich are likely ready to join the race too.
Nusa has been one of the most exciting talents in Norway. He has made 77 appearances so far, netting 13 goals and providing 13 assists. Due to his style of play, he has been tipped as the ‘Norwegian Neymar’.
Based on the data in FotMob, his form this season has been impressive too. His xG is 0.48 while his xA is 1.04. the player who began his career with Staebek has produced 10 shots so far with five of them were on target. His rate for successful passes is 78 % whereas his accurate long balls is 33.3 %, so is the rate for successful crosses. Meanwhile, his successful dribbles reaches up to 57.1 % with the rate of winning duel up to 55.3 %.
Nusa has created seven chances so far with three of the big chances. Defensively, the winger with Nigerian descent has been useful too. He made five tackles, one interceptions and 15 recoveries.
The Langhus-born winger is definitely a great addition for the squad but The Lions might not be prioritizing his move, especially if Garnacho, Mbaye, Alysson and Hemmings have all been in form. His asking price, which could be rising up to around £ 55 million, is another hurdle for The Clarets and Blue to sign the member of Norway squad in 2026 FIFA World Cup.
