Juventus beat Atalanta 2-0 on Sunday, and scorer Francisco Conceicao used the result to outline a personal aim: to add more goals and assists to his game.
The Portuguese winger opened the scoring in the first half before Bremer sealed the victory late on. Atalanta continued to press for an equaliser, while Randal Kolo Muani made a decisive interception to prevent the visitors from finding one.
Speaking to Sky Italia in comments relayed by TuttoJuve, Conceicao said Juventus had played a good match but could have kept the ball better in the first half against a strong Atalanta side. He described the three points as important and said the team must keep improving.
The win lifted Juventus to sixth in Serie A, three points behind leaders Roma. Conceicao said he has other elements of his game to develop, but identified goals and assists as an area where he wants to improve. He also suggested his movement can make him a difficult opponent for full-backs.
Conceicao referenced Luciano Spalletti’s support as Juventus work on different aspects of his contribution. He said the goal against Atalanta was the product of teamwork and stressed the importance of maintaining the same level.
Conceicao framed his individual ambition within Juventus’ wider objective. He said modern football demands that players in his position score and create more often, while maintaining that helping the team achieve its collective goal is the priority.
The result against Atalanta gave Juventus an important three points, with Conceicao’s first-half strike setting the side on its way. His focus is now on becoming a more complete player, contributing at both ends of the pitch and producing more in attack without losing sight of the team’s needs.
