Arsenal secured their place in the Carabao Cup fourth round with an impressive victory over Ipswich Town at Portman Road on Tuesday night.

Mikel Arteta’s side entered the competition at the third-round stage due to their involvement in European football this season.

The Gunners are one of 16 teams remaining in the competition as they look to return to Wembley following last season’s disappointment.

The fourth-round draw was conducted by Jamie Redknapp and Ashley Young on Wednesday, September 16.

It followed Manchester United’s third-round tie against Brighton and Hove Albion at Old Trafford, which kicked off at 8pm BST.

The draw was expected to take place at approximately 10.15pm BST, though the exact timing depended on when the Old Trafford clash concluded.

Supporters in the United Kingdom were able to watch the draw live on Sky Sports, with coverage also available through the Sky Sports app and NOW for subscribers.

Arsenal, drawn as ball number two, landed what many will consider a favourable home tie against Brighton and Hove Albion in the fourth round.

Chelsea, by contrast, face a difficult trip away to Wolverhampton Wanderers, which will be seen as a considerably tougher assignment for their squad.

The full fourth-round draw produced the following fixtures: Arsenal vs Brighton and Hove Albion, Grimsby Town vs Brentford, Swansea City vs Manchester City, and Newcastle United vs Tottenham Hotspur.

The remaining ties see Wrexham host Cardiff City, Liverpool welcome Crystal Palace, Wolverhampton Wanderers face Chelsea, and Wycombe Wanderers take on Fulham.

Manchester City’s third-round tie against Norwich City was not played until Thursday night, meaning their place in the fourth round was not yet confirmed at the time of the draw.

All fourth-round fixtures are scheduled to take place during the week of October 27, with clubs now planning accordingly ahead of those midweek clashes.
