Juventus have the second-highest gross wage bill in Serie A for 2025/26 at €126 million, trailing only Inter’s €139.7 million and finishing ahead of Napoli’s €110.8 million, according to Sofascore.
Roma sit fourth on €109 million and Milan complete the top five with €94.7 million, leaving a clear gap to the rest of the division. Serie A’s overall gross wage bill for the season is estimated at around €1.1 billion, a 3.8% rise on the previous campaign.
At player level, Dusan Vlahovic leads every Serie A earner on €22.2 million gross per year, comfortably clear of Inter’s Lautaro Martinez on €16.6 million. Paulo Dybala is next on €12.9 million, while Nicolo Barella earns €12 million. Jonathan David is on €11.1 million, level with Napoli’s Kevin De Bruyne and Inter’s Hakan Calhanoglu.

Vlahovic’s figure also places him sixth among Europe’s five major leagues on a weekly rate of roughly €427,308. Erling Haaland, Kylian Mbappe, Harry Kane, Mohamed Salah and David Alaba are listed ahead of him.
The wage data follows a summer window in which Serie A clubs spent roughly €1.17 billion, with a negative balance of about €84 million. Milan, Juventus and Napoli were among the leading spenders, alongside a highly active Atalanta.

Sofascore notes that UEFA Financial Fair Play and FIGC controls on financial parameters require clubs to proceed with caution. The report also highlights an automatic 25% salary reduction in the event of relegation for contracts signed after September 2025, a measure intended to protect smaller clubs and avoid unsustainable contracts in Serie B.
Lazio are cited among clubs affected by transfer bans linked to liquidity parameters, underlining the financial pressures that can exist across the league.
