Valencia have reportedly made concrete contact with Juventus over Michele Di Gregorio, according to a later report from Fantacalcio.it. The report says the clubs have begun discussions over a possible loan move with an obligation to buy.
The update represents a change from the position reported on August 8 by La Gazzetta dello Sport. At that point, Valencia and Marseille were said to be tracking the Juventus goalkeeper, but there were no concrete negotiations in place.
Fantacalcio.it reports that the proposed structure would be a loan with an obligation to buy set at €15 million. The same report says a deal could help Juventus move forward with the arrival of Zion Suzuki, who it describes as one of the club’s leading goalkeeping choices.
That potential arrangement remains a reported development rather than a completed agreement. The earlier Gazzetta account identified Valencia and Marseille as interested clubs, while stressing that talks had not yet become concrete at the time of its report.
Supplementary reporting from FootballPresse says Juventus signed Di Gregorio from Monza for €20 million in 2024 after he was named Serie A’s best goalkeeper in the previous season. That report also says the club have placed him on the market after judging that he had fallen short of expectations.
FootballPresse further reports that Di Gregorio made 30 Serie A appearances and kept 13 clean sheets last season. It says Marseille and Valencia had both made enquiries, while the Premier League was regarded by Gazzetta.it as his most likely destination.
Valencia’s reported contact marks a change from the August 8 report, when no concrete negotiations were said to be underway. Whether those discussions produce an agreement remains unresolved.
