Brooks Koepka’s first season back on the PGA Tour could come to an abrupt end this week.
Heading into the Wyndham Championship, the final event of the regular season, Koepka is ranked 86th in the FedEx Cup standings. That’s a long way from the top 70 who qualify for the first playoff event.
While he’s had some highlights, including one top-10 and six top-25s, Koepka is in dire need of a strong result this week in North Carolina. A very strong start.
If he hopes to move into the top 70, Koepka will likely need a victory. Otherwise, we might not see him tee it up again until the FedEx Fall begins.
After teeing off in the morning on the back nine Thursday, Koepka will switch to the afternoon wave and a 1st tee start on Friday.
Koepka tees off for Round 2 at 1:16 p.m. ET on Friday alongside Keegan Bradley and Bud Cauley.
