Alejandro Garnacho has set social media alight after reposting Manchester United content on TikTok, despite completing his £40 million move to Chelsea last summer.
The 21-year-old Argentine winger made the switch to Stamford Bridge following his fall from favour under manager Ruben Amorim at Old Trafford.
His TikTok account, which boasts an impressive 6.2 million followers, remains largely dominated by content from his time at United rather than his new club.
Garnacho’s most recent repost fuelled the speculation further, as he reshared an image of the 2024 FA Cup final line-up depicted through a display of flags.
That match was one of Garnacho’s finest moments in a United shirt, as the Red Devils produced a stunning 2-1 victory over Manchester City in the showpiece occasion.
He played an instrumental role in that triumph alongside the likes of Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford, and Scott McTominay, helping United claim the famous trophy.
The unusual social media activity prompted an immediate wave of reaction from supporters, with many convinced the winger is longing for life back in Greater Manchester.
One fan responded with “He misses home,” while another wrote “Dude want to come back to Man Utd by all means,” reflecting the general mood among those following the story.
A third supporter observed “He’s really missing the good old days,” with a fourth simply asking “What’s he trying to do?” and a fifth calling on the club to “Bring him back home.”
Not every supporter was keen to welcome him back, however, with one sarcastically posting “No take backsies. Bye bye” and another bluntly stating “The team he thought he was too good for.”
Garnacho has found the transition to west London difficult, managing just a single Premier League goal and four assists throughout the 2025/26 season.
He also spent a considerable portion of the campaign as backup to Pedro Neto, featuring in only 14 starting line-ups across all competitions for the Blues.
Chelsea themselves endured a frustrating campaign, finishing in 10th place after a late-season dip in form eroded what had been a promising position in the European qualification spots.
The absence of any Chelsea-related content on his main TikTok feed, alongside the nostalgic United reposts, has done little to dampen the growing chatter about his future at the club.
Whether Garnacho’s social media activity is simply personal sentiment or something more pointed remains to be seen as the summer transfer window gathers pace.
