Tottenham are reportedly monitoring Manchester City forward Omar Marmoush as Roberto De Zerbi looks to reshape his attack ahead of next season.

Journalist Nicolo Schira has reported that Spurs have shown genuine interest in the Egyptian international as the summer transfer window heats up.

Reports suggest Marmoush could consider his future at City if regular first-team minutes become increasingly difficult to secure at the Etihad.

De Zerbi is described as a big admirer of the player, with Tottenham potentially making an approach in the coming days according to those reports.

However, this remains very much one to watch rather than a deal close to any kind of completion at this stage.

The Tottenham head coach is clearly showing real ambition in the transfer market this summer, with several high-profile targets already being pursued.

Moves for players like Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali are also being eyed by the North London club as De Zerbi looks to build a competitive squad.

Marmoush fits the profile De Zerbi demands from his forwards, capable of pressing intensely, combining quickly and moving fluidly across the front line.

City signed Marmoush from Eintracht Frankfurt in January 2025 in a deal worth around €70 million plus add-ons, so any transfer would come at a significant cost.

He arrived at the Etihad with a strong reputation built on an impressive spell in Germany, but competition for places at City has always been fierce.

Any potential exit would likely depend on both his playing-time situation at City and the club’s willingness to sanction a sale this summer.

If Tottenham can structure a smart and financially sensible deal, the move appears well worth exploring given the clear footballing fit with De Zerbi’s system.
