If you’ve ever wished for a shoe that showcased the fun, colorful spirit of Bad Birdie with the technical performance and comfort of PAYNTR, today is your lucky day!
A new collab between the ascendant golf brands launched on Wednesday — marking the first time the two have combined their respective powers in a single product, and the first-ever shoe release for Bad Birdie.
“This is our first shot in footwear, and we knew from the start that how we entered mattered,” said Bad Birdie founder and CEO Jason Richardson in a release. “We didn’t want to just make a shoe; we wanted to make the right shoe. Partnering with PAYNTR, one of the most respected and fastest-growing brands in golf footwear, ensures we’re delivering something that performs at the highest level while still looking unmistakably Bad Birdie.”
Two models are included in the collab: a USA-inspired shoe with a modern twist, just in time for this week’s U.S. Open and America’s 250th birthday celebration, and a second release slated to debut in July.
Both drops feature custom designs and Bad Birdie’s signature colors, prints, and iconography integrated into PAYNTR’s popular All Day SC shoe platform, which features a microfiber upper, a waterproof, breathable membrane, a PMXFOAM midsole, TPU outsole, 3D-molded Ortholite footbed, and, of course, PAYNTR’s signature propulsion plate, which helps golfers harness ground reaction forces to bring more speed and power to the ball during the downswing.
“This collaboration is a perfect example of how performance innovation can serve as the foundation for bold design expression,” said PAYNTR co-founder and creative director Michael Glancy in the release. “We are really proud of how this product captures so much of both our brands’ DNA.”
The Bad Birdie x PAYNTR shoe is available for $180 in limited quantities from both Bad Birdie and PAYNTR‘s respective websites. The shoe will also be available at Bad Birdie retail stores in San Diego and Scottsdale.
