Arsenal Ready To Spend £86m On Kenan Yildiz As Deal For Leicester Wonderkid Jeremy Monga Advances

Arsenal are preparing to defend their first Premier League title in more than two decades, and manager Mikel Arteta is determined to strengthen the squad significantly this summer.

Wide positions have emerged as the primary area of focus, with the left wing identified as a particularly urgent priority heading into the new season.

Both Bukayo Saka and Noni Madueke endured injury-disrupted campaigns last season, making reinforcements in wide areas even more pressing for the Gunners.

Arsenal are now exploring a blockbuster move for Juventus forward Kenan Yildiz, the 21-year-old Turkey international who has lit up Serie A over the past couple of seasons.

Arteta is understood to view Yildiz as a dream target for the left wing, and the club have reportedly not been deterred by Juventus’ hefty valuation of the player.

Juventus are said to value the young winger at around €100 million, equivalent to approximately £86 million, a fee that signals just how highly they regard his potential.

While no official approach has been made yet, Arsenal are prepared to pay top dollar to land Yildiz if a deal can be structured to their satisfaction.

Any move for the Turkish star is expected to be put on hold until after the World Cup, with Yildiz currently focused on representing Turkey in North America.

Arsenal are also closing in on a separate deal closer to home, with the club actively working to sign Leicester City youngster Jeremy Monga.

The 16-year-old was one of the few bright spots in a miserable 2025/26 campaign for Leicester, a season that ultimately ended in relegation to League 1.

With the Foxes expected to raise funds following their drop down the divisions, Monga has been identified as a player who could be sold to ease financial pressures at the club.

Leicester are believed to be seeking around £17 million for the teenage prospect, while Arsenal are hoping to negotiate a deal closer to £10 million.

Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed on Friday that a deal for Monga was “advancing” and that while Arsenal are still pursuing other targets, they’re eager to wrap up negotiations for the England U19s star as soon as possible.

The dual pursuit of Yildiz and Monga underlines Arsenal’s intentions to address both the present and the future as they look to cement their status as genuine contenders for years to come.
