Whenever I’m on site for a tournament I like to ask myself, ‘what’s something new I can do this week?’ So I was very excited to go hang out on the set of the Range Show powered by T-Mobile and hosted by my pals Smylie Kaufman, Charlie Hulme and Alexandra O’Laughlin. While I do a lot of on-camera work in golf, it’s not very often that I’m on a real set. From the big cameras and the bright lights to the ear pieces and the crew making sure everything is going just right, everything always feels so official.

Kaufman and Hulme discussed all sorts of things, including top contenders and the conditions at Aronimink. They also interviewed Phillies legend Chase Utley, and the GOLF team got a chance to do a quick Q&A with him as well. Here’s what he had to say about golf and Philadelphia:

Claire Rogers: Who will win this week?

Chase Utley: Scottie Scheffler.

CR: Who is your favorite player to watch?

CU: Shane Lowry.

CR: What makes sports in Philadelphia so great?

CU: The passionate fans.

CR: Who is your favorite past teammate to play golf with?

CU: Jimmy Rollins is fun to play with, but if he plays poorly, he throws his clubs. Shane Victorino is easy to play with but he doesn’t stop talking, so probably Ryan Howard.

Between that and our Q&A with Cooper DeJean, our Philadelphia residents on the GOLF team have had a great week being among the stars at the PGA Championship.
