The 2026 PGA Championship continues on Friday, May 15, with the second round at Aronimink Golf Club in Pennsylvania. You can find full PGA Championship tee times for Friday’s second round at the bottom of this post.
Heading into the PGA Championship, Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler stole a lot of the headlines. But on Thursday at Aronimink, Jordan Spieth stole them right back.
Spieth started Round 1 on the back nine with six steady pars, then dropped his first birdie at the par-5 16th hole to get to red numbers. He’d remain below par for the rest of the round.
More birdies at 1, 5 and 6 improved Spieth’s score to three under and moved him into a share of the early lead, with plenty of golf left to be played in the afternoon.
Still, it was a promising round for the one-time world beater, who captured three major titles early in his career. Can he win his fourth this week at the PGA Championship and, in doing so, complete the career Grand Slam? Spieth’s attempt at history continues on Friday.
Spieth will tee off for the second round on Friday at 2:05 p.m. ET alongside McIlroy and Jon Rahm.
