The 2026 Sony Open in Hawaii starts Thursday with the first round at Waialae Country Club on the island of Honolulu. Here’s everything you need to know to watch the tournament on Thursday, including full Sony Open TV coverage, streaming details and Round 1 tee times.

How to watch Sony Open on Thursday

A brand-new PGA Tour season gets underway on Thursday in Hawaii, and one of the breakout stars of last season is hoping to keep the momentum going on Thursday.

That player is J.J. Spaun. At No. 6, Spaun is one of the top-ranked players in the Sony Open field. But he’s the only one who captured a major championship victory in 2025.

Spaun triumphed at the 2025 U.S. Open at treacherous Oakmont last summer. It was the 35-year-old’s second PGA Tour win, and it earned him a place on the 2025 U.S. Ryder Cup team.

Spaun will play the opening round alongside one of his Ryder Cup teammates: Collin Morikawa.
