Why this putting mirror was my favorite purchase of 2025

I’ve tried my fair share of golf training aids over the years, and while some have been total flops, there was one this year that became my best purchase of 2025: the Short Game Gains Trigon Toolkit. This simple yet effective tool has completely transformed my approach to putting, and here’s why it became a go-to in my game this season.

Short Game Gains Trigon Toolkit

Our most innovative bundle yet- the Trigon Toolkit comes with 4 putting aids. First, the Steel Trigon Mirror is a double-sided reflective plate for checking eye line, practicing start line, face alignment, aim, and enforcing center contact. It also acts as a stencil, working alongside the Putting Chalk Pens to create an identical alignment setup on grass. Next up, the Trigon Toolkit includes a double sided, reflective steel shoulder alignment mirror. The flip side acts as a ruler to measure setup and calibrate your stroke length. On top of that, this bundle boasts 2 Putting Chalk Pens, filled with non-toxic, water based chalk for creating aim lines, alignment tracks, and start line graphics. These wipe away easily with a damp cloth and don’t damage or kill the grass. Lastly, this kit includes a retractable aim string. This can be used to align the Trigon to a desired aim point, whether it’s the hole or a secondary point. This helps with not only aim, but start line, and green reading. Perfect alignment, every time

Proper alignment is critical on the green. Not only is it the foundation for a solid putting stroke, but it’s also essential for starting putts on line and ensuring you’re aimed correctly. That’s why this putting mirror from Short Game Gains has become one of my favorite tools.

With this tool, I can confirm that my eye position is correct — something that directly impacts how the putter face is aimed. By checking this on every putt, I can be sure I’m aligned properly before I even take the putter back. I can also use the mirror to check that my body alignment is square to the target, which is crucial for a consistent stroke.

Build a consistent stroke

This putting mirror is double-sided, which means I can not only fine-tune my alignment but also track my stroke length. This was the missing piece in my putting game that finally clicked, and it’s all thanks to this tool.

With this training aid, I’ve been able to develop a 60-40 putting stroke, and it’s made a huge difference in my distance control, touch, and overall performance on the green. Now, not only am I more confident with my pace and feel, but it’s also translated to fewer three-putts — something that previously wrecked my rounds.

Tour-level practice sessions

But perhaps the best part of the Trigon Toolkit is that it was designed by two tour players, Fredrik Lindblom and Hannah Gregg. Built by pros for pros, it gives amateurs like me access to the exact tools — like the chalk pens and alignment string — tour pros use to fine-tune their putting week after week. The best part? That gives me the same setup, precision, and confidence that the pros rely on every time they prepare for a tournament.
