LPGA rookie uses blistering final round to run away from field at Mayakoba

Chisato Iwai entered the final round at the LPGA’s Mexico Riviera Maya Open at Mayakoba one shot behind 54-hole leader Jenny Bae but quickly ensured Sunday would be her day.

The Japanese rookie birdied five of her first six holes on Sunday to take control of the tournament, allowing her to shoot a final-round 66 and coast to a six-shot win. That six-shot margin matches the largest margin of victory this season on the LPGA.
