After taking a week off, the PGA Tour’s FedEx Fall gets back into gear with the Butterfield Bermuda Championship. Heading into tournament week, newly minted Tour pro Ben James is the betting favorite at +1175 odds-to-win.
It’s not a familiar spot for the up-and-coming pro.
James, 23, hails from Connecticut and starred on the University of Virginia golf team, earning first-team All-American honors all four years there.
He earned his PGA Tour card this summer via the PGA Tour University rankings, making his pro debut at the 2026 RBC Canadian Open in June.
James has missed only one cut in 10 starts since then, earning four top-5 finishes in the process. Now he hopes to follow in Jackson Koivu’s footsteps by capturing his first Tour win in his rookie season.
Coming in a distant second in the pre-tournament odds is International Presidents Cup player Corey Conners at +2350 odds-to-win. Six-time Tour winner Chris Kirk and Seamus Power are tied at +2450, followed by Neal Shipley and Kevin Yu at +2500.
