If you’ve wanted regular access to the game-changing stats and technology of a personal launch monitor but have balked at the sometimes sky-high prices, the Shot Scope LM1 launch monitor offers a price point that can significantly lower that financial hurdle.
Available for $199.99, the Shot Scope LM1 launch monitor is compact enough to be stored in your golf bag yet possesses powerful data capability, providing instant feedback on the most crucial game-improvement metrics: club speed, ball speed, smash factor, carry distance, and total distance. All you have to do is place the device five feet behind your ball, select your session type, and start hitting.
Metrics are displayed on the easy-to-read 3.5-inch color screen, which can also be synced to the Shot Scope mobile app so you can view your session history. A battery charge lasts for five hours, giving you the flexibility to use the device for a full round or for multiple separate range sessions before recharging.
The LM1 is designed for outdoor and indoor use and can store data for each club you use, letting you easily review and compare performance metrics from previous sessions.
Earlier this year, associate gear editor Jack Hirsh took the LM1 for a spin at the range and came away impressed by the device’s capabilities.
“Not only are the distances accurate but there also are a few cool features that give you some value over much higher-priced launch monitors,” he said. “At the lowest price in the market, Shot Scope has delivered a worthy product for any golfers who want to improve their games. If you’re looking for the easiest launch monitor to operate and acquire, it’s hard to go wrong with the LM1.”
