The storylines are set for this year’s Presidents Cup. Can the American team continue two decades of dominance with an 11th-straight victory? Or will the International side draw inspiration from the European Ryder Cup team’s “Miracle at Medinah” in 2012 to capture its second win in the event?
We will begin to find out the answer to that question on Thursday, when five matches will be played to kick off the proceedings. Four-ball will be the format for Thursday’s matches, with all four players playing their own balls. The best score on each team will count for each hole.
The U.S. team’s biggest star, Scottie Scheffler, will try and improve his poor team event record and get captain Brandt Snedeker’s team off to a hot start.
