Aston Villa have been linked to a move for the top scorer in the South American major league this season.
Aston Villa’s attacking line has yet to be making significant progress. The fans thought they could continue their form after their positive display in the midweek in Bruges in the Champions League as their new forwards, Nicolas Jackson has opened his account.

Should the Colombian frontman agree to sign a new contract, they aim to put a higher price tag on him around £26m to £34.7m. For any Premier League sides, such price might still be manageable.
There has been no confirmation whether Villa would reignite their interest on the 26-year-old striker. He has been prolific this season with 19 goals and four assists in 31 appearances in all competitions.
His club is currently sitting third in Brazilian Serie A and he could still add his tally since Brazilian top flight is still underway. Last season, when his club was in Serie B, or second tier, Viveros only netted 10 times. It is quite an improvement for him.
Based on the data in FotMob, his xG this season has been superb, 17.45. He created 77 shots with 45 of them were on target. His successful passes reaches 74.5 % but his accurate long balls is only 41.7 %. His successful crosses are 18.8%. The former Atletico Nacional man has created 17 chances too with six of them big chances.
In the defending phase, the Colombian striker who has yet to make his senior debut at the international stage has made 23 defensive contributions, including 16 clearances, four tackles, one interception and two blocking shots.
Viveros needs to improve himself on several attributes such as heading, and dribbling and decision-making. He needs to make a pass to his teammates who have better opportunities and shoot for his goal. Yet, his pace and preference to make a sprint to penetrate the opposition backline could offer a competition for Jackson later, especially if Emery decides to loan out Abraham again.
Should he really land in Villa Park, it will be a huge leap in Europe. He once had a brief spell with Bosnian side, FK Sarajevo in 2023 with only one appearance there.
