Aston Villa have been keeping tabs on the best player at the FIFA world cup as their next target for January transfer window.
The summer transfer window may have been over but the hunt for new signings remains on the clock. Aston Villa are currently monitoring the situation for the young forward who is currently on loan in La Liga outfit. Yassir Zabiri was actually already all over the headlines last year when he was awarded the Golden Ball in 2025 FIFA U20 World Cup in Chile. He netted five goals plus one assist in the tournament, including a brace in the final when Morocco U20 smashed the favorite Argentina U20 2-0. Sabiri also bagged one goal each when his team defeated Spain and Brazil at the group stage.
The forward who is known for his pace, positioning and pressing has just scored a hattrick for his current side, Racing Santander when they picked up a 3-2 win over Elche last week. Last season, he only made six appearances with his parent club.
Previously, he was in fine form with Famalicao despite only making 20 appearances. Zabiri managed to score seven goals, which earned his move to Ligue 1.
