Federico Gatti headed home in stoppage time to earn Juventus a 1-1 draw with Milan at the Allianz Stadium on 6 September 2026, cancelling out Alphadjo Cisse’s second-half opener for the Rossoneri.
The result left both teams with a share of the points after a significant Serie A meeting between sides that had each opened the campaign with back-to-back wins, as reported by Football Italia.
Milan took the lead through their substitutes. Samuel Chukwueze’s cross-field pass found Cisse, who controlled the ball, cut inside Manuel Locatelli and drilled a right-footed finish through Pierre Kalulu’s legs into the far bottom corner. It was Milan’s first Serie A goal against Juventus since Olivier Giroud scored in May 2023.
Juventus had created the clearer openings before falling behind. Francisco Conceicao twice forced saves from Mike Maignan and later struck the base of the upright after Yunus Musah lost possession in midfield. The hosts finished with 14 total shots to Milan’s three and five efforts on target to the visitors’ one.
The equaliser arrived in added time when Teun Koopmeiners sent in a cross from the left and Gatti rose at the back post to head beyond Maignan. Gatti had been expected to leave Juventus during the summer but remained at the club, and he had previously scored for Juventus against Amorim’s Sporting.
Juventus were without Kenan Yildiz, Khephren Thuram, Weston McKennie, Andrea Cambiaso, Jeff Ekhator, Juan Cabal and deadline-day signing Pape Matar Sarr. Nico Gonzalez and Kerim Alajbegovic were handed their first starts of the season.
Gatti’s late intervention transformed what had appeared set to be a home defeat into a shared point. The draw kept Juventus level with Milan after the opening three league matches, with both sides having collected seven points.
