If there was ever a release that warranted a — pardon the pun — *chef’s kiss*, this is the one.
On Tuesday, PAYNTR debuted brand ambassador Min Woo Lee’s first signature shoe, the CHEF RX RS. The name is a nod to Lee’s on-course nickname, the Chef, which evolved from Lee’s “Let him cook” captions on social media.
Now, the PGA Tour winner and top-30 player is sporting his very own shoe.
“I wanted a shoe that felt locked in and responsive when I’m swinging at full speed, but I also wanted it to look clean, premium and different from anything else out there,” Lee said in a release. “This was a true collaborative process with the PAYNTR Golf team, and we kept testing and refining the shoe until every detail felt right. The CHEF RX RS gives me the stability, comfort and traction I need to go after it while still representing my personality and style. I’m excited for golfers to experience our creation on the golf course.”
Every PAYNTR shoe model features a propulsion plate to help golfers harness ground reaction forces to bring more speed and power to the ball during the downswing, and the CHEF RX RS is no exception. A TPU outsole and Fast Twist insert system also deliver multidirectional traction and stability throughout the swing, while lightweight, responsive cushioning underfoot ensures balanced fit and support. The full-grain leather upper is laser perforated for breathability, while a waterproof breathable membrane provides protection in all weather conditions.
“Every detail of the CHEF RX RS was considered through the lens of how Min Woo moves, generates power and expresses himself on the course,” said PAYNTR co-founder and creative director Michael Glancy in the release. “From the initial concepts through the final wear-testing process, we worked to balance premium craftsmanship with the technical performance he requires in competition. The result is a modern, athletic yet classic silhouette that feels distinctly Min Woo Lee while remaining unmistakably PAYNTR Golf.”
