Aston Villa are still chasing another striker to add to their squad, with a young talent from a low-tier side emerging as their latest target.
Aston Villa’s transfer business has yet to stop. They are still targeting more options for the forward position despite having signed Nicolas Jackson and potentially Rafael Leao soon. Unai Emery’s side have decided to loan out Tammy Abraham to Ipswich, meaning they have only one frontman remaining, the 17-year-old Brian Madjo.
Their latest target has emerged from the third-tier side Leicester City. The 2016 Premier League winners have an unpolished gem from their academy who is yet to make his senior debut, Lorenz Hutchison. According to a report by 72.co.uk, two Premier League sides have already been lining up for him.

Hutchison is a product of the Leicester City academy. He has made quite rapid progress in his development. Last season, he was already promoted to the U21 team, which competes in Premier League 2, after spending two seasons with the U18 team.
He is currently under contract with The Foxes until next summer. Ideally, his parent club would not want to sell him as they need him to help them bounce back after suffering relegation to League One last season. The 18-year-old is likely to be promoted to the first team this season.
However, considering their financial situation, The Foxes are open to releasing him for the best possible offer. At the moment, The Gunners and The Villans are not the only clubs attracted to his talent. They now have a new contender in the race, Italian Serie A side Lazio.
The striker, who has been capped three times by England U19, is a versatile winger who can be deployed on both wings. He can also operate as an attacking midfielder alongside playing as a frontman.
Last season, Hutchison played only 15 times for the U18 team, scoring 15 goals and providing five assists before being promoted to the U21 side. He was also named captain of the U18 team.
In Premier League 2, he managed to score four goals and provide three assists in 11 appearances. His goals and assists helped The Foxes’ reserve side advance to the playoffs before losing to Tottenham U21.
Based on data from FotMob, Hutchison’s form with Leicester U21 was impressive last season. He made 26 shots, with nine of them on target. His successful passing rate was 74.8%, while his successful dribbling rate was 33.3%. The young Englishman created 13 chances, with two of them being dangerous ones. He also made 12 defensive contributions, including eight tackles, three interceptions and one blocked shot.
Villa should make a move immediately by offering them a return to his parent club directly this season. He could still develop himself as well as helping The Foxes to return to Championship next season. That scheme could be beneficial for all parties.
