The Milwaukee Brewers have made history by becoming the first team since August 2024 to have two teammates named co-Players of the Week simultaneously.
Outfielder Jackson Chourio and right-hander Jacob Misiorowski both claimed the NL Player of the Week Award on Monday, June 15, 2026.
Chourio, 22, earns his first-ever Player of the Week honour, adding another milestone to what is shaping up to be a remarkable season.
Misiorowski, 24, claims his second career award, having previously won his first in the final week of May earlier this year.
Chourio was virtually unstoppable across the Brewers’ six games this week, batting 13-for-29 with five homers, 10 RBIs, and eight runs scored.
Perhaps most impressively, Chourio hit safely and drove in at least one run in each of those six games, demonstrating extraordinary consistency throughout the week.
Misiorowski matched that brilliance on the mound, delivering a complete game shutout against the Phillies on Friday night that left the baseball world talking.
The young right-hander allowed just one hit and zero walks, striking out 15 batters on 95 pitches, with 58 of those pitches registering at 100-plus mph.
Misiorowski also faced the minimum number of batters thanks to a fourth-inning double play, adding another layer of dominance to an already historic outing.
Both players now appear to be strong candidates for the upcoming All-Star Game in Philadelphia, even accounting for Chourio having missed the first month-plus of the 2026 season.
Across 35 games this year, Chourio is hitting .322/.370/.572 with nine homers, 11 doubles, 26 RBIs, 27 runs, and five steals, totalling 2.0 bWAR.
That figure nearly matches the 2.2 bWAR Chourio accumulated across a full 131 games during the 2025 season, underlining just how dominant his current form has been.
Misiorowski, widely considered the frontrunner for the NL Cy Young Award, leads the majors in ERA at 1.34, strikeouts with 131, FIP at 1.69, and WHIP at 0.736.
Over 87 innings across 14 starts, Misiorowski has compiled an outstanding 3.9 bWAR, cementing himself as one of baseball’s most valuable pitchers in 2026.
