How to watch BMW Championship on Friday

Just days after finishing near the bottom of the leaderboard at the FedEx Cup playoff’s opening event, Rory McIlroy completely flipped the script at the BMW Championship.

The six-time major champion came out firing at Bellerive CC, making zero bogeys in the opening round and going four under over his final six holes. By round’s end, McIlroy had shot a six-under 64.

McIlroy’s impressive performance put him into a tie for the lead heading into Friday’s second round of the BMW Championship. But he’s not alone. Four other players matched Rory’s 64, including Wyndham Clark, J.J. Spaun, Gary Woodland and Chris Gotterup.

McIlroy will switch to an earlier tee time for Round 2, setting off at 10:47 a.m. ET on Friday alongside Xander Schauffele.
