Tottenham Hotspur have reached an agreement in principle with Manchester City to sign winger Savinho in a deal worth around £85 million including add-ons.
The transfer represents one of the most significant pieces of business in the Premier League this window, with Spurs moving decisively to strengthen their attacking options.
Savinho himself has had a personal agreement with Tottenham in place for some time, with the player eager to make the move to north London.
Head coach Roberto De Zerbi identified Savinho as his top target for the right winger position, and the club have now delivered on that priority signing.
The agreement clears the way for one of the window’s most anticipated transfers to be finalised, with the fee confirmed at more than £80 million before add-ons are factored in.
Tottenham are not stopping there, with Omar Marmoush of Manchester City also firmly in their sights as they push for a fifth major signing of the transfer window.
Negotiations between Spurs and City over Marmoush are at an advanced stage, with conversations described as ongoing and a deal widely expected to happen.
Fabrizio Romano confirmed that a personal agreement with Marmoush is already in place, mirroring the situation that preceded the Savinho deal being finalised.
Tottenham have already completed deals for Sandro Tonali from Newcastle and Mateus Fernandes from West Ham to bolster their midfield ahead of the new campaign.
Should the Marmoush transfer also go through, Spurs will have added two attacking players from Manchester City alone during this busy and ambitious transfer window.
The combination of Savinho and Marmoush would represent a major overhaul of Tottenham’s forward line as De Zerbi looks to put his stamp on the squad.
Spurs’ activity underlines a clear and determined recruitment strategy, with the club moving quickly across multiple positions to build a squad capable of competing at the highest level.
