Scottie Scheffler was a fixture as the betting favorite in every tournament he teed it up in this year, even when he wasn’t winning. Now that he is winning, the odds have grown even more lopsided.
Scheffler captured his second win of the season on Sunday at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, cementing his big lead in the FedEx Cup standings heading into the BMW.
The World No. 1 comes into BMW week with +300 odds-to-win.
In a distant second place behind Scheffler in the odds, you can find Rory McIlroy. The six-time major winner took significant time off before playing the FedEx St. Jude. The rust showed as McIlroy finished at 8 over, putting him 66th out of 68 players who finished.
Despite that poor start, McIlroy is still 13th in the FedEx standings and has +1375 odds to win the BMW Championship.
Sam Burns (+1475) and Tommy Fleetwood (+1800) aren’t far behind McIlroy. Three big-name players are tied with +2000 odds-to-win: Xander Schauffele, Ludvig Aberg and Cameron Young.
