Tottenham Hotspur have reached a verbal agreement with Inter Milan over the transfer of right-back Djed Spence, with a deal now firmly in place.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed the move with his trademark “here we go” announcement, bringing clarity to weeks of speculation surrounding the defender.
The agreed transfer fee stands at €31.5 million, equivalent to approximately £27 million, representing a significant windfall for Spurs this summer.

Before Inter Milan accelerated their pursuit, Spence had attracted considerable interest from several top Premier League clubs, including Liverpool and Manchester United.
His versatility proved a major selling point, with the 25-year-old capable of operating effectively as both a right-back and a left-back at the highest level.
Inter ultimately moved decisively, capitalising on Spence’s own preference for a return to Italian football following his previous spell in Serie A.
Spence had previously enjoyed a productive loan period in Italy with Genoa, and was eager to embrace a full-time return to the Italian top flight.
His desire to leave Tottenham was driven primarily by the search for regular first-team minutes, something that could not be guaranteed under head coach Roberto De Zerbi.
Despite earning international recognition with England following an impressive individual stretch, Spence faced uncertainty over a consistent starting role at Spurs.
