Dusan Vlahovic has agreed personal terms with Besiktas, with the striker set to arrive in Istanbul to complete a free transfer after his Juventus contract expires, Türkiye Today reports.
The outlet cites A Spor as saying the two sides have agreed on all terms, while Anadolu Ajansı reports that Vlahović is expected to land in Istanbul around midday on August 12 for medical checks before signing an official contract. Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has also reported that Vlahović has agreed to join Besiktas.
Vlahović’s contract with Juventus expires on June 30, meaning no transfer fee will be involved. He leaves with 68 goals in 168 appearances across all competitions and a solitary trophy, the 2024 Coppa Italia, after his final campaign produced seven goals in 19 Serie A outings, his lowest output over a full season.
A native of Belgrade, Vlahović came through Partizan Belgrade’s youth academy and made his senior debut for the club in 2016. He moved to Fiorentina three seasons later, and his form there peaked in 2022, when he finished as runner-up in the Serie A top-scorer race after scoring 24 goals.
On the international stage, Vlahović has earned 41 caps for Serbia since making his debut in 2020, scoring 16 goals. He has represented his country at the 2022 World Cup and Euro 2024.
Besiktas have also added Belgium forward Leandro Trossard from Arsenal this offseason. Vlahović is expected to undergo medical checks after arriving in Istanbul before the move can be formalised.
