Arsenal are reportedly preparing to make a formal approach to Aston Villa regarding the transfer of attacker Morgan Rogers this summer.
The Gunners are said to be dead set on Rogers as one of their top priorities heading into what could be a very busy transfer window for the north London club.
Rogers finished the 2025/26 season in impressive form, registering 14 goals and eight assists across all competitions for Aston Villa.
The England international is a versatile attacking option, capable of operating wide on the left or as a number ten, two positions Mikel Arteta is understood to be keen to strengthen.
Alongside the pursuit of Rogers, Arsenal are also reported to be closing in on a £10m deal for Leicester City youngster Jeremy Monga, who has attracted significant attention from top clubs.
Reports also indicate that Arsenal have held talks over Lille midfield wonderkid Ayyoub Bouaddi, adding further excitement to the club’s summer plans.
The Evening Standard is the source behind all three updates, suggesting Arsenal’s recruitment team has been extremely active in laying the groundwork for multiple signings.
Of the three players linked, Rogers and Bouaddi appear most likely to challenge for places in Arteta’s starting lineup from the outset of the new season.
Rogers looks a capable upgrade on the left side of attack, with Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard both providing competition in that area of the squad.
The fitness and form of Martin Odegaard is also reported to be a concern for Arsenal, making further midfield and attacking reinforcements even more pressing this window.
Bouaddi is unlikely to start regularly straight away given his age and experience, but the Lille midfielder has shown enormous potential and could develop into a key partner for Declan Rice.
Monga, meanwhile, represents an exciting long-term investment, with Arsenal willing to spend around £10m to secure the Leicester City teenager ahead of competition from other clubs.
Arsenal supporters will be encouraged by the level of activity being reported, with the club clearly looking to build on what was an historic 2025/26 campaign.
