Manchester United are reportedly prepared to accept a financial loss on Manuel Ugarte as manager Michael Carrick continues his summer squad overhaul.
The club signed the Uruguayan midfielder from Paris Saint-Germain in 2024 in a deal worth an initial £42.3 million, with add-ons capable of pushing the total above £50 million.
Despite arriving with a strong reputation as a ball-winning midfielder, Ugarte has struggled to fully convince at Old Trafford since making the move.
His limited involvement last season told its own story, with the Uruguay international starting just 10 matches throughout the campaign.
According to The Sun, United are now open to selling Ugarte even if it means accepting considerably less than they originally paid to secure his services.
