Real Madrid Ready To Break World Transfer Record With €220 Million Bid For Michael Olise

Real Madrid are reportedly preparing one of the most ambitious transfer moves in football history, targeting Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise as their primary attacking objective.

Spanish outlet Marca has reported that Madrid could be willing to go as high as €220 million to secure the signature of the France international.

That figure would place the deal just €2 million below the world-record €222 million fee Paris Saint-Germain paid Barcelona for Neymar back in 2017.

The sheer scale of the reported bid underlines just how seriously Real Madrid are taking the prospect of bringing Olise to the Bernabeu this summer.

Reports had previously linked Madrid with a €150 million offer for Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez, but that approach was apparently more calculated than genuine.

According to the report, the Alvarez pursuit was largely a strategic bluff designed to complicate Barcelona’s own interest in the Argentina international rather than a sincere transfer push.

Bavarian Football Works has also reported that Madrid’s real focus has been Olise all along, with the Alvarez links serving as something of a smokescreen.

Olise ticks several important boxes for Madrid, playing naturally from the right side and already possessing an established international connection with Kylian Mbappe through the France national team.

That existing chemistry with Mbappe could prove a significant factor as Madrid look to construct an attack capable of dominating European football for years to come.

At just 24 years old, Olise also fits the profile of a long-term Galactico signing, offering both immediate quality and a lengthy peak at the highest level.

Bayern Munich, however, are not expected to make the process straightforward, viewing Olise as a central pillar of their long-term plans at the club.

The German champions are reportedly prepared to offer Olise an improved contract to keep him in Munich and reinforce their commitment to building around him.

Crucially, his current deal contains no release clause, meaning Bayern hold all the power in any potential negotiation and can simply refuse to engage.

Madrid may be willing to smash financial records to land their man, but even a bid approaching €220 million could be met with a firm rejection from Bavaria.
