Liverpool are not expected to stop their summer recruitment after securing a deal for Victor Muñoz, with further attacking additions firmly on the agenda.

According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Liverpool are actively looking for an additional winger or forward even with Muñoz confirmed as incoming.

The primary requirement for any new arrival is pace, which signals a clear tactical direction for the club under manager Andoni Iraola.

Liverpool’s rebuild appears focused on building an attack capable of stretching defenses, pressing high, and causing damage in transition.

The Guardian reported that Liverpool have secured Muñoz from Osasuna in a deal worth around £34.5m, seeing off competition from Newcastle United in the process.

Despite that significant outlay, the Muñoz agreement is viewed as just one piece of a broader attacking overhaul at Anfield.

Yan Diomande remains a player Liverpool are optimistic about signing, though the situation around him is considerably complicated by competing interest and a high asking price.

PSG have also registered interest in Diomande, and ESPN has reported that RB Leipzig are demanding around €130m for the player, making any deal extremely difficult to complete.

Given those obstacles, Liverpool are sensibly keeping alternative options warm should the Diomande pursuit ultimately prove unworkable.

Köln’s Said El Mala, Brighton’s Yankuba Minteh, and Lille’s Matias Fernandez-Pardo are all understood to be on Liverpool’s list of alternatives if Diomande does not arrive this summer.

FootballTransfers has reported that Lille value Fernandez-Pardo at around €70m, making him a potentially more achievable target than the Leipzig man.

Minteh would bring Premier League experience to the role, while El Mala is viewed more as a high-upside development profile than an immediate first-team solution.

Bradley Barcola is another name Liverpool have looked at during the current transfer window, further illustrating the depth of their attacking shortlist.

Liverpool’s overall strategy appears well-defined, prioritising pace, versatility, and future resale value rather than simply pursuing marquee signings regardless of cost.

The club have multiple viable routes to completing their attacking rebuild, meaning Diomande’s high price tag is unlikely to derail their summer plans entirely.
