Tottenham Hotspur have a significant contingent of players representing their nations at the 2026 World Cup, with 11 stars confirmed in action.
The arrival of new signings Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi pushed the club’s World Cup participant count up to 11 players across the tournament.
Senesi only found out on Thursday that he had received a late call-up to the Argentina squad as injury cover, selected by boss Lionel Scaloni.
The news completed a whirlwind few days for the Bournemouth centre-back, who had just tied up his free transfer move to Tottenham.
The club is also attempting to finalise a deal for Netherlands centre-back Jan Paul van Hecke, which would give Spurs fans a 12th player to follow throughout the competition.
The World Cup is being held across the United States, Canada and Mexico, with group stage fixtures spread across several weeks of football.
Roberto De Zerbi’s players will feature across a wide range of fixtures, with some Tottenham teammates even facing each other in the group stages.
The action begins as early as Sunday June 14, when Andy Robertson’s Scotland face Haiti with a 2am kick-off broadcast on BBC, followed by Micky van de Ven’s Netherlands against Japan at 9pm on ITV.
Lucas Bergvall gets his tournament underway for Sweden against Tunisia at 3am on Monday June 15, with Pedro Porro’s Spain facing Cape Verde at 5pm on ITV the same day.
Rodrigo Bentancur features for Uruguay against Saudi Arabia on Monday night, while Pape Matar Sarr represents Senegal against France on Tuesday June 16 at 8pm on BBC.
Wednesday June 17 brings one of the more intriguing early fixtures, as both Cristian Romero and Marcos Senesi line up for Argentina against Algeria in the early hours on ITV.
Kevin Danso’s Austria face Jordan at 5am on BBC that same morning, before England’s Djed Spence and Croatia’s Luka Vuskovic go head-to-head at 9pm on ITV.
The Tottenham clashes continue throughout the group stage, with Micky van de Ven facing Lucas Bergvall when Netherlands take on Sweden at 6pm on BBC on Saturday June 20.
Perhaps the most anticipated Tottenham-on-Tottenham clash comes on Monday June 22, when Argentina’s Romero and Senesi square off against Danso’s Austria at 6pm on BBC.
The group stage concludes at the end of June, with fixtures for all 11 players listed across BBC and ITV, giving Spurs supporters plenty of international football to enjoy before club preparations resume.
