Newcastle United, Everton, and Brentford are all tracking Parma forward Mateo Pellegrino ahead of a potential summer transfer battle.
Reports from Italy suggest the Argentine striker has emerged as one of Serie A’s standout performers this season, attracting widespread European interest.
The 24-year-old has been valued at €30 million by Parma, a figure that represents a significant but attainable target for Premier League clubs.
Sport Parma reports that all three English sides have placed Pellegrino firmly on their summer transfer shortlists as they look to strengthen their attacking options.
Premier League clubs are said to be particularly drawn to Pellegrino’s physical profile, his youth, and what scouts believe is a high ceiling for further development.
His attributes are considered an ideal fit for the intensity and pace of English top-flight football, giving the Premier League clubs a natural edge in pursuit.
Tottenham Hotspur have also previously been linked with the Argentine forward, further highlighting the level of interest he has generated across England.
Parma CEO Federico Cherubini has acknowledged the growing speculation surrounding his striker, stating: “We know there are many interests, but we are in no hurry.”
A complicating factor in any deal is that Parma will only retain half of the transfer fee, as a 50% sell-on clause is owed to Pellegrino’s former club, Vélez Sarsfield.
Domestic Italian interest has also surfaced, with Bologna, Como, and Fiorentina among the Serie A clubs to have tested the waters regarding his availability.
However, Parma’s €30 million asking price remains a significant obstacle for Italian suitors, giving the financially stronger Premier League clubs a clear negotiating advantage.
Pellegrino scored nine league goals this season and 12 across all competitions, including a match-winning strike against Sassuolo on the final day of the campaign.
That decisive goal underlined his ability to perform under pressure and deliver in moments of genuine consequence for his club.
Across his career to date, the forward has accumulated 33 goals and six assists in 144 appearances, including spells at Platense and Estudiantes de La Plata.
His Parma career has mirrored his time at Platense almost exactly, with 15 goals and two assists in 52 appearances demonstrating remarkable consistency across two clubs.
