Chelsea are reportedly ready to revisit their interest in AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan, with the Blues keen to finally secure a deal this summer.

According to Calciomercato, Chelsea are considering reviving their pursuit of the 30-year-old French international after falling short in their attempts last summer.

TNT Sports also reported in May that Chelsea had reignited their interest as part of an ongoing and determined goalkeeper search at Stamford Bridge.

This is far from a new admiration for Maignan, as Chelsea looked seriously at the goalkeeper last summer but could not get the deal over the line.

Milan’s demands were considered too high at the time, and the two clubs were unable to find common ground on a transfer fee that would satisfy both parties.

One year on, the landscape could look considerably different, with Maignan’s contract situation and Milan’s broader squad planning shifting the dynamic heading into this window.
