RB Leipzig teenager Yan Diomande has reportedly signalled his willingness to join PSG, but Liverpool are pushing hard to change his mind this summer.

According to Foot Mercato, PSG sporting director Luis Campos is intent on regenerating the French champions’ squad following what has been described as an exhausting campaign.

Campos has pinpointed the 19-year-old Ivorian as the ideal profile to address the club’s tactical imbalance on the right flank ahead of the new season.

PSG have already held multiple meetings with RB Leipzig management in an effort to secure a deal for the highly-rated youngster.

Liverpool, meanwhile, have made Diomande their absolute priority target as they actively plan for life after Mohamed Salah at Anfield.

The teenager’s rapid rise in Germany has attracted attention from Europe’s biggest clubs, having arrived at Leipzig from Leganés just last summer.

Diomande went on to record an impressive 13 goals and 9 assists across 36 matches, completely surpassing all expectations placed upon him.

His explosive form earned him the prestigious Bundesliga Best Young Player award, further cementing his status as one of the continent’s most exciting prospects.

Leipzig hold considerable power in any negotiations, with Diomande contracted at the club until 2030, giving them no pressure to sell cheaply.

While the player reportedly rejected interest from Bayern Munich, the project on offer at Anfield has genuinely caught his attention, leaving the transfer race wide open.

Aware that a bidding war with PSG could push Diomande’s price to extraordinary levels, Liverpool’s recruitment team is already identifying alternative options should the deal prove unworkable.

Reports suggest Liverpool are monitoring PSG’s own Bradley Barcola, a dynamic French international who predominantly operates on the left side of the attack.

Barcola’s versatility, tactical intelligence, and pace make him a compelling option for Liverpool as they plan a significant rebuild of their forward line.

Interestingly, if PSG finalise a move for Diomande, it could push Barcola further down Luis Enrique’s pecking order at the Parc des Princes, potentially opening an unexpected door for Liverpool to make their move.
