Aston Villa are currently eyeing two wingers who were also former Barcelona and Real Madrid men each for their summer transfer.
Aston Villa’s transfer business is likely to begin sooner with more names as their target. The latest ones are the notable names from La Liga. They happen to be the ex-players of two Spanish giants, Barcelona and Real Madrid. According to the report in getfootballnews.es, Villa’s targets are revealed.
“Aston Villa are sounding out several wingers, and on the list are Ez Abde, Víctor Muñoz, and Jesús Rodríguez (Como).’
These first two names are the top talents in the Spanish top flight so far and are playing for Real Betis and Osasuna. They have been the vital members of their team so far, which is understandably why Villa joins the race to sign them. They could be the proper replacement for Morgan Rogers next season.
The 24-year-old winger was the product of the Barcelona academy. He was promoted to the first team in the 2021/22 season under the tutelage of Xavi Hernandez. However, he couldn’t seal his place in the starting XI, so Abde was loaned to Osasuna in the following season.
The Moroccan international eventually joined Real Betis in summer 2023 and helped his team reach the UEFA Conference League final in 2025 before losing to Chelsea. Overall, he has played 126 times for Betis, registering 28 goals and 18 assists.
The left winger, who was also part of Morocco’s squad in the 2022 FIFA World Cup and 2025 AFCON, has an expected goal (xG) reaching 8.41 with an expected assist (xA) of 3.32. His successful dribble percentage is 47%, and he has won 52.4% of duels.
His defensive contribution is quite high too, reaching 79 based on FotMob. It includes 50 tackles and 16 interceptions. His contract expires in 2029, and his current value is up to £26.17 million.
The 22-year-old wide man just joined Osasuna the previous summer. He was already making a breakthrough in the Real Madrid senior team squad in the 2024/25 season but struggled to get regular minutes on the pitch with his position, left winger, already sealed for Vinicius Jr.
Thus, he was sold to the mid-table side, and his form has not been disappointing at all. Munoz has netted six times and provided five assists in 35 games in all competitions. He even already received a national team call-up for La Furia Roja this year and scored his first goal for his country.
Munoz’s primary position is left winger, although he can be deployed as a number 10 and right winger. Based on the data in FotMob, his expected goal (xG) is 5.71 while his expected assist (xA) is 2.67. There has been plenty to improve in his potential. His successful dribble percentage is 42.8%, whereas his duel won is 41.4%.
The Barcelona-born winger is quite active in the defending phase too by making 51 defensive contributions, including 22 tackles and 20 clearances. His contract expires in 2030, and his current value is £17.45 million.
