Aston Villa preceded their FA Cup exit with a vital 1-0 win over Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League.
Villa were steady contributors for owners of their players in Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 26. Only one goal was scored, meaning a clean sheet for Villa’s back line and attacking points for a defender on this occasion too.
Let’s check in with the double gameweek scores in the Premier League’s official FPL game and see how the Villa boys got on in GW26.
Centre-back Tyrone Mings led the way for Villa players in the most recent gameweek, which was a double gameweek for Arsenal and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Mings pulled in a very respectable tally of 12 points thanks to an assist (it was a goal, let’s be honest) and a clean sheet, topped up with five defensive contributions and three bonus points.
There were eight points apiece for Emiliano Martínez and Ian Maatsen, seven for Lamare Bogarde and six for Ezri Konsa. Everyone else picked up three, two or one, leaving Morgan Rogers at the top of Villa’s rankings with 125 points.
He remains the only Villa player to have broken the 100-point barrier. Matty Cash is poised on 99.

It was a significant week at the top of our AVF FPL league, with Gary James able to pull away from Abdelrhman Gooda at the top of the table thanks to a 70-point haul.
Warren Torch leapfrogged Rich Ludlow into third place, while Amber Barnard and Martyn Dutton strengthened their places in the top ten.
Mr. Madman topped the individual gameweek standings with a magnificent 97 points courtesy of a deftly played wildcard chip and the clever captaincy of double-gameweeker Declan Rice.
There’s no change in the bottom three, though Lucy Smith made some ground on Graeme Vincent and Thabang Mokhele.
