US fast-food brand Dave’s Hot Chicken continues its steady expansion across London, opening a new location in the heart of Croydon.
The Nashville-style chicken chain has already made waves with outlets on Shaftesbury Avenue and at Westfield White City, and is now bringing its signature spice levels to Croydon High Street.
The new store, which opened last week, introduces Dave’s California street-food aesthetic to one of south London’s busiest shopping areas.
It is designed as a fast-casual hangout, targeting both daytime customers and late-night crowds looking for food after evenings out.
The move places Croydon firmly on the capital’s fried-chicken map, an area already known for its strong local competition in the category.
Customers at the Croydon branch can expect the same menu that has helped build Dave’s loyal following.
This includes chicken tenders and sliders coated in spices that range from No Spice to the notorious Reaper level, which requires customers to sign a waiver.
Sides such as mac and cheese and loaded fries are also on offer, alongside creamy shakes and fruit-flavoured slushers.
The brand has positioned itself as both a quick-bite option and a social destination, leaning into bold flavours and a casual atmosphere.
Jim Attwood, Managing Director of Dave’s Hot Chicken UK, said the latest opening reflects the brand’s confidence in Croydon’s food scene.
“We can’t wait to close out the year with our sixth new opening and bring our signature heat to Croydon,” he said.

Attwood added that the launch was about more than simply increasing store numbers.
