Full Swing KIT launch monitor prices, specs: How to buy the same tech behind TGL

The playoffs for the inaugural season of the TGL kick off Monday night from the SoFi Center when The Bay Golf Club takes on Atlanta Drive GC.

A lot of technology makes the TGL happen — from the enormous screen at the SoFi Center to the massive rotating and articulating green. While it’s all stuff that you or I will likely never have access to, we can get our hands on the same launch monitor used for TGL competition.

The TGL venue uses 18 strategically placed Full Swing KIT launch monitors to capture the ball flight data that is then used in the simulation program for the competition. While you don’t need 18 units to measure your swing, you can get your hands on a standard Full Swing KIT setup at Fairway Jockey.

The Full Swing KIT is a versatile machine because it can be used both indoors as a simulator or outdoors as a launch monitor thanks to its wired and wireless connectivity options. Given its small size, you could even carry it around with you on the course if you wanted to track your real-life swing data.

But if you want to use it as a simulator, each unit comes with e6 Connect Perpetual Package that includes five courses and 15 practice areas for your iPhone or iPad. Additional software can be purchased for access to more courses and gameplay.

Even if you don’t use a tablet or mobile phone, you can also get real-time data feedback on the unit’s heads-up display, which can show you four of the 16 data points after each shot, with the ability to scroll through more. If you connect to a mobile device, the Full Swing KIT will even read off selected data points to you through your headphones.

Tiger Woods uses the Full Swing KIT as his personal launch monitor and you can too. The KIT is just a fraction of the cost of other high-end launch monitors, which can go north of $15,000. Right now, you can get the Full Swing Kit on Fairway Jockey for $4,999.
